Sometimes the things you throw away should be well-spent because it has many hidden advantages. Vitamin C also known as ascorbic acid, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays a crucial role in various bodily functions. It is an essential nutrient, meaning the body can not produce it on its own, so it must be obtained through diet or supplements. Vitamin C has many beneficial properties. It is an antioxidant, it helps to protect cells, from damage caused by free radicals. It also helps to promote the supporting system of the body. Iron absorption and collagen synthesis are also done by orange consumption. Some studies suggest that vitamin C also has anti-viral properties.  While it is generally best to obtain nutrients, from a balanced diet. Vitamin C supplements are available for those who may have difficulty meeting the needs of vitamin C alone through foods.

1. Homemade Cleaner;
Save orange peels and place them into a jar with white vinegar. Allow it to sit for a couple of weeks, and you will have a citrus-infused- cleaner. This natural cleaner can be used on surfaces like countertops and glasses.
2. Air Freshener; 
Dry orange peels and place them in a bowl or sachet to create a natural air freshener. The citrus scent helps to eliminate the odor in various spaces, such as the kitchen, closets, and bathroom.
3. Zest for cooking;
Grate the orange peel to extract zest, which is the outermost layer of the peel. Orange peel zest adds a burst of citrus flavor to various dishes, including desserts, salads, and marinades. Be sure to use the outer layers without the bitter white pith. 
4. Skin scrub;

5.Candied orange peels;

Add a twist to your drinks, by placing a few strips into your tea beverages, cocktails, and water. The citrus oil can subtly enhance the flavor of your beverages.
11. Deodorize your refrigerator;
 Place dried orange peels in the refrigerator to absorb the odor and keep it smelling fresh. Replace them every week to get refresh effects.
12. Natural scrub for cookware;
Use dried and ground orange peels as a natural abrasive cleaner for pots, pans, and other cookware. This coarse texture can help to stay away from the stains.
13. Compost material;
