The dowry system is deeply rooted in traditions. It always has bad impacts on societies and on the family of the bride. It brings a lot of financial liability to the father of the bride. He borrows a loan to fulfill the things of the dowry of her daughter. But afterward, the bride is always taunted that her dowry has a shortage of things. Its impact on individuals and communities is multifaceted, it often emphasizes gender equality and economic disruption. It's a curse on every society. We discourage it and try to eliminate it from our society.


 Impressions of dowry;

The dowry system is a cultural practice, in which the family of the bride provides gifts, often in the form of cash, jewelry, property, and a luxury car to the groom,s family as a condition of marriage. Despite advancement in various spheres this age-old tradition continues to persist in many communities, contributing to economic, social, and physiological challenges is a baseless tradition that was adopted a lot of years ago. It is nothing but a burden on the father of the bride.

It always had bad impacts on individuals and society. In the elite class, it is given to show off the status. And in the middle class when they want to copy the higher class it makes the situation crucial. Because the middle-class person borrows the loan to fulfill his needs. The dowry emphasizes the concept of gender inequality. and also that women have nothing empowering in itself. Why does why she have to come with commodities, to visualize herself?

The dowry also leads to financial hardships for the bride's family. It ends up as a result of debts, poverty, and depression. This economic strain can have long-term consequences for the family of the bride. The bride always gets upset with her family. It took the bride into depression, anxiety, fear, feelings of inadequacy, and trauma. On the other hand, the groom,s family's expectation about the dowry commodities can't be fulfilled by the other side of the family. It makes the base of the marital relation weak and the bond between the couple is always disrupted.


 Demolishing the dowry;

 We should take steps to demolish the curse of dowry from society. Because it keeps the people depressed and brings competitional merits as one wants to give dowry, and the other wants to beat his score,. Hence in this race, the middle-class person always gets disturbed.

Legal reforms;

Strengthening and enforcement of anti-dowry laws can be crucial steps. The government needs to take a firm, stance against the practice, ensuring that perpetrators face legal consequences. Legal reforms can be enforced strictly and punishment should also be granted who may violate the law. 

Education and Awareness;

 Promote the negative impacts of dowry systems. By raising awareness, communities can challenge, deep-seated challenges, and belief and works toward fostering more equitable relationships. Encourages open discussion within the communities can help, break the silence surrounding the dowry system. Community leaders and influencers can play a vital role in deriving the change.

Empowering women;

Promote the concept of independent women. Let them study and find a job from which they can pay their own bills, and run their own lives. Independent women can raise their voices, and take a stand against the concept of the dowry system. Providing education vocational training, and encouraging women to be independent. Empowering women economically and socially can shift the power dynamics associated with the dowry system.

Cultural navigating;

The young generation must raise their voices against this norm and cultural impressions which were followed by long time ago. Media, literature, and popular culture can play a significant role in changing societal perceptions of the dowry system.

Conclusion;

The dowry system's impact is far-reaching affecting individuals and communities on multiple levels. However, through concerted, the dowry system affects our society badly. Legal reforms, educational awareness, cultural navigation, and independence of women can change the wave of dowry. Which is a curse for our society. It is time to break the chain of tradition and build a society where marriages are based on love, respect, and equality rather than material conceptual transactions.
